Programming

Programming plays a key core in many business applications like manufacturing planning systems, marketing and campaign management as well as healthcare information systems and financial services today. This profile prepares you to understand core concepts of programming and to use relevant methodologies and standards to develop programming code. Based on different approaches to computer programming you will learn to programme a simple website with HTML, CSS and Java Script as well as demonstrate the ability to write simple java programmes. The development of APPs will be demonstrated by practical examples.

Basic Website Programming with HTML and CSS	Mindset	8 hours	Understand the basic concept of the world wide web, the role of HTML and CSS in website programming and be able to programme a simple website.
Website Interactions with JavaScript and jQuery	Mindset	8 hours	The seminar introduces interactive technologies and code libraries for web programming and focuses on JavaScript and JQuery implementation.
Fundamentals of Java-Programming	Deep-Dive	16 hours	The seminar discusses functional vs. object oriented programming and dives into Java and the Java Development Kit (JDK). Learn how to set-up a Java programming environment and to write, compile and run simple Java programmes.
App-Programming in Action (Android)	Implementation Workshop	32 hours	Analyse a problem and define requirements for a simple app, design a layout, programme it using Java and XML and publish it in the Google app store.
