Code of Honour

Code of Working Together

Since 2009, the students have a “code of honour” that they developed from the guiding principles. The code of honour was revised in 2011 to reflect the new guiding principles.

  • Respectful Treatment

We treat all people with respect, regardless of their origin, religion, age, ability or gender. Open communication and mutual trust characterize the way we work together.

  • Responsibility

We take responsibility in everyday life, at the university and in our partner companies and are aware that our behavior may lead to consequences.

  • Bearers of Values

We are and will remain representatives of the HSBA and carry the Hanseatic spirit beyond our studies into the society and economy. We are jointly committed to the interests of the university and represent its values to our best extent.

  • Carpe Diem

We identify and seize opportunities and challenges for our professional and private lives every day. We seek new paths creatively and independently.

  • Team Spirit

At the HSBA we work together as a team. Together we are motivated, resilient and ready to perform. We are a strong community that is passionate about its goals.

  • Social Media

Our actions on the internet and social media follow the same principles as in our other interactions.

  • Innovative Action & Fairness

We encourage and challenge each other by questioning issues and independently looking for new solutions. We behave fairly in examinations and towards our fellow students.

  • Dual Spirit

At the HSBA we live the dual study program. We enrich our lectures with our practical experience and our companies with the knowledge we earn during our studies. Therefore, we strive to exploit our potential and contribute to the economy and society.
