At HSBA, you can study Business Administration with numerous specialisations or with an international focus as in our degree programme International Management. Would you rather combine business administration with the topic of digitalisation? Then you can choose our Business Informatics degree programme. Or are you mainly interested in logistics? In that case our study programme Logistics Management is the best choice for you. All Bachelor鈥檚 degree programmes are dual, which means that they combine academic business studies with systematic on-the-job training.
Business Administration
Bachelor of Science
Our dual Bachelor Business Administration (BSc) is a business degree programme. In the first year of study, you will learn the essential basics of business administration. From the second year, you have the opportunity to specialise in one or even two areas.
At HSBA we offer a wide range of specialisations such as Marketing, Finance, Data Science, Sustainability and Media Management.
Business Informatics
Bachelor of Science
Our dual degree programme Business Informatics (BSc) combines business management issues with digitalisation. The programme covers the basics from both disciplines business administration and computer science. Please note, that you need no previous knowledge before you begin with your studies.
Are you particularly interested in artificial intelligence (AI) or would you like to learn programming apps? Our elective courses, which you can choose during your studies, deal with these topics and others.
Business informatics specialists are in high demand on the job market. Since you learn how to solve business issues with the use of modern software, you are well prepared for a job in an increasingly digitalised society.
International Management
Bachelor of Science
Are you interested in business administration and would like to work in an international environment? Then our Bachelor programme International Management (BSc) is the right choice for you. In this English-language degree programme, you will learn all the basics of business administration, which are supplemented by internationally oriented modules such as international human resource management, intercultural management and regional studies or international business law.
With a Bachelor in International Management, you are perfectly positioned for a career in an internationally oriented company.
Logistics Management

The logistics sector is one of the most important economic sectors in Germany. Would you like to know how it works and how goods, information and people get from A to B? Then you've come to the right place.
Our Logistics Management (BSc) degree programme combines business studies with issues from the field of logistics. In the first two years of study, you will learn the basics of business administration and logistics. In the further course of your studies, you can specialise further in the area of transport, warehouse or production logistics.
As a logistics manager, you have many opportunities because the sector continues to grow in the course of digitalisation. Many companies are looking for graduates who work at the interface between business administration and logistics.

Internationals: To Hamburg for a Master's Degree - a Personal Account
Germany is a popular destination for international students, and is currently actually the country in Europe hosting the highest number of students from abroad.* The high quality of life, the excellent education system and the opportunity to work in Germany after graduating are some of the main reasons why many young people decide to study here. For each student, the intercultural experiences that come with living and studying in a new country are, however, particularly important.
Our postgraduate student Kumru 脰zkan approves this statement. She has lived in Hamburg for the last years, arriving from Turkey in 2023 to enroll at HSBA, studying the part-time, English-language Master鈥檚programme in Business Development (now Innovation Management). Recently, she had the unique opportunity to talk to the Second Mayor of Hamburg, Katharina Fegebank, about her experiences, her motivation and her personal challenges. Kumru and the Second Mayor met at the annual Hamburg Senate Reception for International Students at the Hamburg city hall. Read on for Kumru鈥檚 story which she told us at a recent interview.
Airbus Sponsors Endowed Professorship for Logistics Management at HSBA
For the academic year 2024/25 an endowed professorship for logistics management was newly established at HSBA. The holder of the endowed professorship is Prof Dr Michael H枚big, who, as a professor of general business administration with a focus on supply chain management, has been dealing with topics such as process management in purchasing and procurement or operations management & research for many years. The professorship, which is funded by Airbus, is intended to enable the expansion of teaching and research activities in this field.

Frequently asked questions about the Bachelor's programme at HSBA
Can I apply for a study place directly with HSBA?
No, you apply directly to the company. If you have successfully completed a selection procedure and are offered a place, the partner company will contact HSBA and register you. You can find all current study place offers from our partner companies on our Study Place Exchange.
Our Hamburg Business Speed Dating offers an additional opportunity. It takes place twice a year.
If you have any questions about an admission test, you are welcome to contact us.
What are the options of studying abroad?
Yes. Most HSBA Bachelor students spend time abroad during their studies, sometimes several times. For example, in one-semester exchange programmes at our partner universities, in the one-week study excursions in the third year of study, or by participating in a summer school. Some partner companies also enable students to spend time abroad during the practical phase. Internationality also plays a major role in everyday study life in Hamburg, as HSBA attaches great importance to the internationality of the course content and offers a wide range of English-language seminars.
Can I apply to a company even if I do not yet fulfil the admission requirements?
It is best if you fulfil the admission requirements for our Bachelor's degree programmes beforehand. Or if your previous grades at degree level are in the right direction. Otherwise your application will not usually be successful. IF you have to take an admission test and would still like to apply beforehand, be sure to mention this in your letter of application. Then it will be clear to the company representatives that you know what you are doing!
